Dr. Adam Powell is a health care economist who consults for the health insurance and hospital
industries. He examines issues concerning technology, operations, and ﬁrm decision making.
Dr. Powell is a member of the adjunct faculty of Northeastern University, where he teaches
students in the Health Informatics Graduate Program. He also assists Brown University with
the development of the curriculum for its forthcoming Executive Master of Healthcare

Dr. Apurv Gupta is an innovative and seasoned healthcare executive, an expert in performance
improvement and change management, and a thought leader in the transformation of health
care. As Adjunct Senior Lecturer for the Executive Master of Healthcare Leadership Program
at Brown University, Dr. Gupta teaches courses on “Quality Improvement and the Healthcare
Learning Organization” and “Management and Marketing to Transform Health Care.”

Dr. David Dosa is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Brown University. He is a health
services researcher and practicing geriatrician with dual appointments with the Department of
Primary Care at the Providence VAMC and the Division of Geriatrics at Rhode Island Hospital.
David is a funded researcher with grants from the National Institutes of Aging, the Research
Retirement Foundation, and the Veteran's Administration. He jointly conducts his research
through Brown University's Center for Gerontology and the Providence VA Medical Center's
Research Enhancement Award Program
